Longwarry win night game

Longwarry Division 2 hosted Garfield on Thursday night in a first for a club to host a Night Pennant Game and after trailing early, fought back strongly to record a 39 shot win.  Division 5 travelled to Traralgon to play RSL and in a ding dong battle all day, managed to get over the line by 2 shots.  Division 6 also travelled to Traralgon to take on Traralgon 7 and got the chocolates winning by 9 shots to move into the top 4 for the first time this season.  Midweek Pennant travelled to Yinnar and continued their winning ways, coming home with a 21 shot win.

Division 2 – Longwarry 99 defeated Garfield 60

Hayden McCarthy, Nat Cousin, Glenn Pask and John McCarthy (Skip) lost to Nick Henwood’s team 20/23.

Craig Cousin, Robbie Proctor, Barry White and Kenneth Towt (Skip) defeated Stephen Whyte’s team 35/11.

Mark Serong, Col Finger, Ian Peterson and Trevor Kitchin (Skip) defeated Tom Cleary’s team 24/11.

Dale Weller, Hank Metselaar, Louie Lieshout and Ken White (Skip) defeated Shane Oliver’s team 20/15.

Division 5 – Longwarry 55 defeated Traralgon RSL 53

Heidi Bosch, Debbie Parker, Dale Hendrick and Graham “Astaire” Woolstencroft (Skip) defeated Marg Gibbon’s team 19/16.

Matthew Bail, John O’Shea, Mark Serong and John Majkut (Skip) drew Gordon Asbury’s team 15 all.

Jasmine O’Shea, Chris Footit, Sharon Twite, and Gerry “Hogganaut” Mitchell (Skip) lost to Frank Metcalf’s team 21/22.

Division 6 – Longwarry 40 defeated Traralgon 31

Colleen Butterworth, Laraine Bluck, Chris Butler and Pommie Lieshout (Skip) defeated Peter Dobell’s team 17/16.

Elio Megetto, Annette O’Shea, Ronnie TeGiffel and Simon Counsel (Skip) defeated Rob Stephen’s team 23/15.

Midweek Pennant – Longwarry 51 defeated Yinnar 30

John Majkut, Annette O’Shea, Jason Lieshout and Nat Cousin (Skip) defeated Jann Summerhaye’s team 25/14.

Dale Weller, Chris Footit, Robbie Proctor and Sharon Twite (Skip) defeated Leanne Emmond’s team 26/16.
