Successful Week for Longwarry

Longwarry Bowls Club completed another successful week with three of the four pennant teams winning.
Division 2 played host to Morwell Club and in a tight match for most of the day, managed to break away and win by 14 shots to keep their undefeated season in tact. Division 5 travelled to Garfield and have a comfortable win over the close town rivals by 29 shots, to also be undefeated for the year. The team welcomed in Dale for his first game for Longwarry. Division 6 headed off to Thorpdale to play Thorpdale-Yarragon welcoming to the team Michael, Greg and Robert thanks to some last minute recruiting with many players unavailable for this week. They all played well, just going down to the combine by 5 shots. Midweek Pennant keep getting better by the week and had a great 49 shot win over Trafalgar to take top spot on the ladder.

Division 2 – Longwarry 76 Defeated Morwell Club 62

Dale Weller, Mark Serong, Ian Peterson and Trevor Kitchen (Skip) defeated by Brett Harle’s team 16/17.

Craig Cousin, Robbie Proctor, Barry White and Kenneth Towt (Skip) defeated Glenn Trembath’s team 21/10.

Nat Cousin, Col Finger, Hank Metselaar and Ken White (Skip) defeated by Allan Campbell’s team 17/18.

Jasmin O’Shea, Peter Lieshout, Glenn Pask and John McCarthy (Skip) defeated Neil Whitelaw’s team 22/17.

Division 5 – Longwarry 80 defeated Garfield 51

Elio Megetto, Heidi Bosch, Debbie Parker and Graham Woolstencroft (Skip) defeated Halene Newton’s team 19/18.

Matthew Bail, John O’Shea, Simon Counsel and John Majkut (Skip) defeated Gwen Fabris’s team 35/12.

Hayden McCarthy, Chris Butler, Sharon Twite and Dale Hendrick (Skip) defeated Brian Fox’s team 26/21.

Division 6 – Longwarry 31 defeated by Thorpdale-Yarragon 36

Greg Smith, Laraine Bluck, Robert Quinn and Ronnie Tegiffel (Skip) defeated by Darron Fraser’s team 12/26.

Lorna Sheedy, Michael Clarke, Chris Footit and Bobbie Davis (Skip) defeated Kelvin Jarvis’s team 19/10.

Midweek Pennant Division 4 – Longwarry 71 defeated Trafalgar 12

John O’Shea, Annette O’Shea, John Majkut and Nat Cousin (Skip) defeated Mandy Mile’s team 32/8.

Dale Weller, Colleen Butterworth, Craig Cousin and Sharon Twite (Skip) defeated Jo Reekie’s team 39/4.
