Clean Sweep for Longwarry

Longwarry Bowls Club completed a successful week with all three Saturday teams and the Tuesday Pennant team winning. Division 2 had a huge 74 shot win over Thorpdale. Division 5 travelled to Morwell and came home with an 11 shot win to consolidate their position at the top of the ladder. Division 6 played at home to Boolarra and recorded their second win of the season by 24 shots and the Tuesday Pennant team hosted Yinnar and got home in a close one by 10 shots.

Division 2 – Longwarry 124 defeated Thorpdale 50

Dale Weller, Mark Serong, Ian Peterson and Trevor Kitchen (Skip) defeated Brendan Jenning’s team 30/11.

Craig Cousin, Robbie Proctor, Barry White and Kenneth Towt (Skip) defeated Benjamin Powell’s team 39/8.

Nat Cousin, Col Finger, Peter Lieshout and Pommie Lieshout (Skip) defeated Danny Vanzuylen’s team 24/15.

Hayden McCarthy, Hank Metselaar, Ken White and John McCarthy (Skip) defeated Ron Mackie’s team 31/16.

Division 5 – Longwarry 67 defeated Morwell 56

Elio Megetto, Heidi Bosch, Debbie Parker and Graham Woolstencroft (Skip) defeated Joel Brooke’s team 16/13.

Matthew Bail, John O’Shea, Mark Light and John Majkut (Skip) defeated Nick Nikopemski’s team 24/18.

Chris Butler, Annette O’Shea, Simon Counsel, Sharon Twite (Skip) defeated Jenny Duncan’s team 27/25.

Division 6 – Longwarry 53 defeated Boolarra 29

Luca Lieshout, Chris Footit, Ronnie Tegiffel and Sean Garrity (Skip) defeated Peter Gair’s team 24/18.

Lorna Sheedy, Andrew Parker, Colleen Butterworth and Bobbie Davis (Skip) defeated Pam Allen’s team 29/11.

Midweek Pennant Division 4 – Longwarry 45 defeated Yinnar 35

John O’Shea, Colleen Butterworth, Craig Cousin and Sharon Twite (Skip) defeated by Leanne Emond’s team 19/21.

Robbie Proctor, Annette O’Shea, John Majkut and Nat Cousin (Skip) defeated Jann Summerhay’s team 26/14.
